Mission & Ministry
As the nation's oldest Catholic and Jesuit university, Georgetown is committed to the spiritual, intellectual, and social development of all of its students.
The Office of Mission and Ministry supports this unique legacy by developing programs that promote the Catholic identity, Jesuit tradition, and Ignatian heritage, as well as promoting adult understanding of different faiths and fostering interreligious understanding for students, faculty, staff, alumni and others.
Campus Ministry
Part of the Office of Mission and Ministry, Georgetown’s Campus Ministry provides religious services and pastoral care for students of all faiths. On any given week, more than 50 different religious services take place on campus, including Catholic Masses, Muslim prayer services, Shabbat services and Protestant services. By helping students and others grow in their own faiths, Campus Ministry offers the tools needed to build lives based on spiritual values.
