Georgetown University Medical Center is an internationally recognized academic medical center with a three-part mission of research, education and the improvement of human health. This mission is carried out with a strong emphasis on community outreach, public service and a dedication to the Jesuit principle of cura personalis—care of the whole person.
The Medical Center includes Georgetown’s School of Medicine, School of Nursing & Health Studies, the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and biomedical graduate research programs that together account for 60 percent of the university's sponsored research funding.
