Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the Georgetown University Medical Center, seeks to improve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer through innovative basic and clinical research, community education and outreach and the training of cancer specialists of the future. It is one of only 53 comprehensive cancer centers in the nation and has been awarded the National Cancer Institute’s highest ranking for leadership in cancer treatment, research and education.

For decades, Lombardi’s clinicians have trained medical leaders in oncologic/hematologic care, made discoveries bridging science and medical care around the world and investigated and identified risk factors for various populations.
