Richard , lung cancer patient

Give Today to Accelerate Discoveries

A Life Extended by Expert Care

Richard’s cancer journey began unexpectedly in September 2018 when he was diagnosed with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer after a routine physical, prompted only by mild shortness of breath. Soon after his diagnosis, he began treatment with Dr. Liu at Georgetown Lombardi and while his cancer is incurable, it is being managed. His experience reminds us that lung cancer isn’t always linked to smoking—and that awareness, early detection, and strong multidisciplinary care teams, can make a life-saving difference. Your gift today will help advance the work of experts like Dr. Liu and others at Georgetown Lombardi.
