Ms. Wagner is currently treating Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center patients that are participating in a new and innovative trial using cellular therapy with tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) to treat certain types of solid tumors. It involves isolating and growing specific cells from the patient\u2019s tumor tissue to make a therapy which is personalized and targeted to their disease.<\/p>\n\t\t<p class=\"font\">\u201cCancer is not just one disease,\u201d Ms. Wagner says. \u201cWe are able to target a person\u2019s individual cancer characteristics with the drugs being offered in clinical trials.
