Title:Alumni receive prestigious Schwarzman Scholarship to study in Beijing

Alex Heintze (B’19) and Lucia Wei He (SFS’15) are the most recent Georgetown alumni to be named Schwarzman Scholars, one of the world’s most prestigious graduate fellowships.

Located at Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University in Beijing, the program offers recipients a fully-funded, one-year master’s degree and leadership program, which connects scholars with mentors and introduces them to hands-on activities exploring Chinese culture and business.

This scholarship is “designed to build a global community of future leaders who will serve to deepen understanding between China and the rest of the world.” The program aims to convene the world’s best young minds to examine the economic, political, and cultural factors that have contributed to China’s increasing importance as a global power, and deepen understanding between China and the rest of the world.
