Office of Mission & Ministry

Our university’s Catholic and Jesuit tradition is a distinctive and vital resource as Georgetown seeks to help meet the world’s most profound needs. In the Office of Mission & Ministry, we live out those values by advancing the university’s faith-based academic mission and providing inclusive campus ministry and pastoral care to students, faculty, and staff.

Today, we are called to educate leaders grounded by an authentic sense of self and moral purpose. To stand in solidarity with those at the margins of society. To engage the university’s varied communities in dialogue, reflection, and service. We are called to be a Catholic and Jesuit home for people of all faiths.

‘How do we engage the world in a reflective way?’

Hear Father Mark Bosco share the Office of Mission & Ministry’s vision for building on the university’s rich tradition—by enhancing its presence in students’ lives, bringing our Ignatian heritage alive in the classroom, expanding immersion and pilgrimage opportunities, and strengthening the programming in and preservation of our sacred spaces.

“An intentional practice of stillness and silence in solitude or with others helps us transition from the inordinate demands of unrelenting ‘doing’ to the simple essence of ‘being.'”
