Parent and Family Giving

Dear Georgetown Parents and Families,

As both a proud alumnus and the University’s Vice President of Advancement, I warmly welcome you to the Georgetown community. Whether you are new to Georgetown or already part of the Hoya family, we are thrilled to have your child with us.

Our generous parent and family community is instrumental in expanding the culture of excellence that defines our university. Your partnership enriches your relationship with Georgetown and the experience of your child.

I am clearly biased, but I believe Georgetown is a truly special place: a distinctive community rooted in outstanding academic rigor and the values of the nation’s oldest Jesuit institution. These principles compel us to reflect on how our resources and ambitions can serve others and make the world a better place. Your involvement and philanthropic support enhance the experience of every member of our Hoya family, impacting your children and their peers now and in the future.

Welcome to Georgetown.

Bart Moore (F’87)
Vice President, Advancement

From the Annual Fund

Annual gifts enable Georgetown to deliver daily on the mission to educate individuals to be reflective lifelong learners, responsible and active participants in civic life, and to live generously in service to others. Relying on the collective engagement and commitment of alumni, family, and friends, annual gifts consist of many specific giving options that encompass initiatives and programs for and within each campus and can be designated to the part of Georgetown that means the most to each donor.

Major Gifts

The future of Georgetown University depends on the generous support of family and friends as well as alumni. Major gifts allow the university to promote excellence; attract and retain the most deserving students; recruit and support world-class faculty and researchers; and enhance and broaden Georgetown’s research, education, and outreach programs.

Endowed scholarships, gifts to support capital projects, gifts of securities, and memorial gifts to honor loved ones are all ways to support the Georgetown experience.
