  • Managing Director of Athletics Development, Scarlett Schneider, Ph.D.

    Scarlett Schneider

    Scarlett Schneider, Ph.D. came to the Hilltop in May of 2019 as the new Senior Director of Development, Athletics after leading the fundraising arm of the West Virginia University Cancer Institute.

    Dr. Schneider is no stranger to athletics development having significantly advanced athletics fundraising goals at numerous universities in her career.  She has served as the executive director of athletics development at the University of Pennsylvania, the senior executive director of development and associate athletic director for George Washington University, the director of athletic development at the University of Delaware and held similar positions at The Ohio State University as well as Virginia Tech.

    Highlights from Dr. Schneider’s various tenures include creating the Buff and Blue Fund at GW, surpassing fundraising goals in multiple fiscal years at Penn and managing record growth in dollars raised at Delaware. In addition, she is incredibly active in the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) serving in a number of positions including president (2016-17).

    Dr. Schneider has been in university fundraising for more than 25 years.  In her most recent stint at WVU, she surpassed goals and also partnered with the athletics department on signature events.

    The Virginia Tech graduate holds three degrees from the institution.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing education and a master’s in sports management.  She later received her doctorate in education administration and higher education.

  • Director of Athletics Development, Danielle Grobmyer Thomas

    Danielle Grobmyer Thomas

    A native of Charlottesville, Virginia, Danielle was a four-year letter winner at St. Bonaventure University. She earned her masters at the University of Massachusetts where she discovered her love for Athletics. Danielle has spent the last 13 years in higher education administration including her most recent appointment just down the road at George Washington University where she led athletics annual fund fundraising efforts for all 27 sports.

    She and her husband, Brian who currently serves as the Head Coach of GW Swimming and Diving have two sons, Boomer and Chip.

  • Director of Athletics Engagement, Christine Schroyer

    Christine Schroyer came to Georgetown in 2024 and oversees the Athletics Engagement team revolving around philanthropic athletic events, engagement and strategic communications. Originally from Montgomery County, Maryland, Schroyer graduated from the University of Central Florida, Rosen College of Hospitality Management in Orlando with a Bachelor of Science in event management. She brings more than 12 years of corporate event experience, specializing in detailed logistics management and creative hospitality solutions while maximizing the full guest experience.

  • Associate Director of Athletics Engagement, Katie Kennedy

    Originally from Springfield, Va., Kennedy graduated from Virginia Tech in 2018 with a degree in public relations. She then earned a master’s degree in sport administration from Arkansas State University in 2024. Kennedy brings operational experience from intercollegiate track & field at Virginia Tech as well as with the New York Road Runners, the organization who puts on the New York City Marathon.

  • Associate Director of Athletics Stewardship & Engagement Communication, Nicole Praga

    Nicole Praga graduated from Arizona State University in 2017 with a degree in journalism and mass communications before completing a plus-one Masters program in mass communication in 2018. The Richland, Washington native brings marketing and communications experience in higher education and collegiate athletics from both the University of Maryland and the Pennsylvania State University. Praga lives in North Bethesda and enjoys going to local sporting events and spending time outside when the weather is nice with her husband, Dylan.

  • Associate Director of Athletics Development, Ryan Snyder

    Ryan Snyder came to the Hilltop in 2025 as the Associate Director of Development for the Georgetown athletic department. He oversees the fundraising initiatives of men’s golf, women’s golf, women’s lacrosse, women’s soccer, softball, tennis, and cross country/track & field.

    Snyder is an active member of National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD).

    Prior to Georgetown, he spent two years as the Assistant Athletic Director of Development at the University of Central Missouri. His primary responsibilities include the athletic department’s annual fund, donor relations, donor events, and the Celebrating Athletics Auction.

    Prior to UCM, Snyder spent two years (2021-23) as the Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations at Missouri Southern. He oversaw all corporate partnerships, game operations, and ticketing.

    Snyder spent three years (2019-21) as the Assistant Director of Strategic Communications at Penn State University where he served as the primary contact for the baseball, track and field/cross country, women’s basketball, and women’s soccer programs.

    Before his stretch in Happy Valley, Snyder served as the Director of Athletic Communications at Quincy University where he oversaw all 19 NCAA-sponsored athletic teams from the fall of 2017 to the spring of 2019.

    Following his playing career, he served as an assistant coach for the 2017 College World Series Quincy baseball team, mentoring a pair of MLB draft picks Graham Spraker (Toronto Blue Jays – 2017) and Riley Martin (Chicago Cubs – 2021).

    During his playing career, Snyder was a consensus First Team All-American (ABCA, NCBWA, D2CCA) baseball player at Quincy University. Snyder was a finalist for the Tino Martinez National Player of the Year Award and the Josh Willingham Division II Most Valuable Player Award.

    Snyder resides in North Bethesda, Maryland.

  • Athletics Development Associate, Josh Kraft

    Originally from Boise, Idaho, Kraft graduated from Rocky Mountain College with his undergraduate degree in business management, and obtained a masters degree in athletic leadership from Boise State University in 2024. He brings experience in athletics development from his graduate assistantship with the Bronco Athletic Association. Additionally, during his time as a graduate assistant, he had the opportunity to attend the 2023 NACDA Convention and the 2024 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar.
